DKMA Applications ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Tapin mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Tapin, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email (or a private relay email).
  • Profile Information: Your martial art style(s), training experience level, and optional profile photo.
  • Training Notes: Text, photos, videos, and voice recordings you create within the app.
  • Club & Class Data: Information related to clubs you join or create, class schedules, lesson plans, and attendance records.
  • Forum Content: Posts, replies, and other content you share in community forums.
  • Payment Information: Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Stripe. We do not directly collect or store your payment details.
  • Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting our support team.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: Features used, pages viewed, time spent in the app, crash reports.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens for delivering push notifications (only if you grant permission).

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Apple Sign In: Name and email address as authorised by you.
  • Analytics Providers: Aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Tapin Service
  • Create and manage your account
  • Process subscriptions and manage your entitlements
  • Deliver the "This Day Last Month" feature and training reflections
  • Send push notifications based on your preferences
  • Provide AI-powered technique suggestions (Pro tier and above)
  • Respond to your support inquiries
  • Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve the app
  • Detect and prevent fraud or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only:

  • With Your Club/Gym: Club coaches and admins can see your name, profile, attendance, and forum posts. Your private training notes are never shared.
  • Service Providers: Supabase (data hosting), Firebase (push notifications), RevenueCat (subscriptions), OpenAI (AI features).
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or governmental request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase's cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement TLS/SSL encryption, row-level security policies, and regular security reviews.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Account Management

  • Access & Update: Update your profile information at any time within the app.
  • Delete Account: Delete your account and all data from Settings. This is permanent.
  • Export Data: Pro tier users can export their training notes and history.

6.2 GDPR Rights (EEA/UK Users)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, data portability, and withdraw consent. Contact admin@dkma.online.

6.3 Australian Privacy Act

Australian residents have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) to access and correct personal information.

6.4 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and request deletion. We do not sell personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

Tapin is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Contact admin@dkma.online if you believe a child has provided us information.
